‘Both Sides’

Donald Trump has always been an attention magnet. He has been known to be a news issue even before he became President. His infamous way of conversation had again led him amidst a controversy. This time the issue is regarding a comment of his on the Charlottesville violence over past weekend. His ‘both sides’ comment is the one being debated.

The Sarcastic Pitcher

The latest event of criticism of Trump involves Brandon McCarthy. McCarthy is the pitcher for Los Angeles Dodgers. The starting pitcher took to his responsibility to mock the ‘both sides’ comment of Trump. He compared the Charlottesville scenario to the World War. The intent is to take a grin at the president for his comment.

What did Brandon say?

Brandon tweeted that during the world war there were two opposing sides. He said that on one side were the Nazis who were violent. He added that the allied soldiers, the opposing side, was also very violent. Then he said that this equals both the sides.

The pun was intended to be aimed at what Trump said about the Charlottesville violence. Trump described this violence as a fault of both sides. The violence at Charlottesville resulted in one death and more than 19 injured.

The neo-Nazi and white supremacists rallied in Charlottesville last weekend. The removal was aimed at protesting the removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee in the city. Trump seemed to be on the side of the protesters on Tuesday. It resulted in a lot of criticism of Donald Trump.
