JBL has released a new line of earphones, as well as new upgraded Bluetooth speakers. One of the headphones that stood out is the Everest wireless headphones that are compatible with Google assistant. The Samsung owned Tech Company announced these products on the first day of CES 2018.
Everest Wireless Headphones
The Everest wireless headphones are classified into three different categories, the in-ear, on-ear, and around-ear headsets. All the three are wireless, and JBL says that they have between 8 and 25 hours of playtime per charge.
The around and on-ear headphones come with a curved headband to lessen the pressure on the ears. Its ear cushions are made from memory foam for improved comfort. The headphones are designed with metallic colors like mountain silver and gunmetal.
You can connect the JBL Everest GA sets with any Bluetooth enabled device.
For Google assistant services, you will have to download the assistant app from your smartphone and connect the earphones to your smart device. You can then touch a sensor located on the ear cup to activate.
After activation, you can use the voice command to listen to your customized playlist, adjust the music volume or hear about your day’s to-do list. JBL is yet to announce the Everest GA’s market price, though they did reveal that the sets would be on sale this spring.
Clip 3 Waterproof Bluetooth Speakers
Another enticing product from JBL announced today was the Clip 3 waterproof Bluetooth speakers, which is an upgrade of its predecessor, with an improved audio performance. The tech company says that the clip 3 can play up to 10 hours per charge. It comes with an echo and noise-canceling functionality so you can pair with your smartphone to make phone calls.
The clip 3 Bluetooth speaker also added three color models (dusty pink, ocean blue, and steel white) on top of the existing seven colors. Its metal clip has a rubber attachment for firm gripping when placed on slippery surfaces. The speakers will be selling at $59.95 and will be available in this spring.
Extreme 2 Portable Bluetooth Speakers
JBL also announced its waterproof Extreme 2 portable Bluetooth speakers, an upgraded version of the Extreme Portable Bluetooth speaker line. The major upgrade is in the audio performance, which comes with a more substantial bass and an extended playtime of up to 15 hours.
The extreme 2 also has other additions like a USB charging port, a metallic base, hooks and a bottle opener. You can pair the device with your smartphone to make phone calls. The Bluetooth speaker comes in three colors; black, blue and green and will be selling at $299.95 starting this spring.
JBL Endurance Sports Earphones
JBL didn’t forget that we love sports, and so they announced a new line of silicone sports earphones. The company announced four different headsets for different sports under the JBL endurance brand.
The endurance run comes with a sweat proof rating of IPX5 and a tangle-free cable and a remote control, and a microphone. It comes with a flip hook design that allows you to either wear the earphones behind the ears or in-ear.
The Endurance Sprint, Dive and Jump are waterproof since they’re designed for water-based sports. The endurance Sprint comes with a magnet earbuds to make storage easier and to avoid loss. The endurance Jump comes with a neckband and turns on and connects once you wear them. The Dive come with similar features as Jump, but with an additional element of 1GB audio storage to make music available even in the absence of internet connection.
The endurance earphones have an on-ear touch button for easy music controls, selection and volume adjustments. According to the company, the earphones will have an up to 8 hours of playtime, and when the battery runs down, a 10-minute charge will give you an extra hour of playtime.
The sports earphones have a price ranging between $19.99 and $89.99 and will be available in this spring in five different colors. Endurance Run is the cheapest while Dive is the most expensive.
