Chester Bennington, Lead Vocalist Of Linkin Park Dies.

Chester Bennington one of the most iconic lead vocalist and songwriter of our time was found dead yesterday in his Los Angeles home. It is a heart breaking moment for every music lover throughout the world. Seems like he took his own life by hanging himself. He was just 41 years old. The LA Police department confirmed the death of Chester and also said an investigation is ongoing.

Chester Bennington was the lead vocalist of American Hard Rock band Linkin Park. He was well known for his piercing scream and free flowing anguish. Linking Park has released 7 albums in their whole career. The most recent one was ” One More Light” and it rocked the Billboard chart. Chester started gaining his reputation from the first LP album “Hybrid Theory” and he never turned back after that.

One of the founders of Linkin Park, Mike Shinoda spoke on behalf of the group in his tweet. He said the whole LP group is shocked and heartbroken. He also said he will release an official statement when they have one.

Chester also performed on a couple of side projects. He worked with Dead by sunrise and when the band broke he joined Stone Temple Pilots.

Recently his very close friend and singer Chris Cornell also committed suicide. Chester was shattered by this incident and said: ” I can’t imagine a world without you in it”. He was recovering from it and after that incident, he wrote 6 songs in a week.

He was very open about his problems and admitted that he was suffering from excessive alcohol and drug addiction. Many of his songs reflect on his addiction. Some of them are ” Crawling”, “Numb”, “In The End” and “Walking Dead”. Once he even said if it was not for the music he would be dead.

He had many problems in his life and it started escalating after his divorce in 2005. He admitted that the reason for divorce was his heavy drinking addiction. Chester once said “I knew that I had a drinking problem, a drug problem and that parts of my personal life were crazy” he added  “But I didn’t realize how much that was affecting the people around me until I got a good dose of ‘Here’s-what-you’re-really-like.’ ”

Though he was facing all these problems throughout his life, he seemed very optimistic in recent interviews. Maybe he knew it was his last album. “Where I’m at right now in 2017 is as far on the opposite side of the scale to where I was at this time in 2015,” he said in a recent interview. He also added “I literally hated life and I was like, ‘I don’t want to have feelings.’ And now I’m like, ‘Bring it on!’ ”

Personally, I can’t describe in words what was his place in my life. His songs helped me in difficult situations of my life. It was hard for me to believe he was dead and at first, I thought it was just another hoax. I wish it was.
