Apple is the new producer of the highest-end quality noise canceling headphones. The tech company reached the peak on Monday with the release of the new Beats Studio 3 wireless headphones. The new headphones qualifies Apple as the only maker of headphones featured with active noise canceling
The set is an improvement of the previous beats headphones, with an inclusion of Apple’s W1 chip. The chip, which is similar to the one on Apple’s AirPod enables the headphones to connect to an iPad, iPhone or a Macintosh computer with ease. Although they look so much the same as their predecessors, the studio 3 wireless headphones are more of an enlargement, over-ear copy of solo 3.
The new headphones are Bluetooth enabled, and they have a rechargeable battery that will run for 22 hours, with the noise cancellation turned on. Turning the “low power” mode on will give the battery an extended usage time of 18 hours. In this state, the noise cancellation is turned off. It is important to note that turning the noise canceling effect off doesn’t degrade the quality of audio output of the headphones.
The battery life of 22 hours puts the studio 3 wireless headphones a step ahead of its major competitors; QC35 and MDR-1000X headphones by Bose and Sony reflectively.
The headphones recharge with a micro USB connector instead of the usual Apple’s lightning connector. Also, the set is featured with class 1 Bluetooth connectivity to enable precise and long range connectivity. According to Beats, when the battery is running low, you can charge it for 10 minutes and earn yourself a three more hours of quality music.
It is not that noise cancellation is a new feature in beats studio headphones, but with the new model, Apple is said to have re-upgraded this approach. The headphones will algorithmically sample your environment and automatically adjust the noise cancellation strength. Within five seconds of environmental change, and the headphones will have switched to your new surroundings. You wouldn’t even notice.
The headphones will be available in six different colors, selling at $350.
The new Beats Studio 3 wireless headphones come as a solution to those who will want to listen to music from the new Apple handset, as it has no headphone jack.
